Day 68

"Supper"
“A man once asked Diogenes what was the proper time for supper, and he made answer, If you are a rich man, whenever you please; and if you are a poor man, whenever you can.”
-Diogenes
Just a baked potato with butter, sour cream, and black pepper.
Growing up we had three meals: breakfast, dinner, and supper. We didn't call it breakfast, lunch, and then dinner. Do any of y'all still call your third meal supper?
Today wasn't such a good day for me. Between worrying about bills and the dog (she has demodectic mange and is having a flare up of it right now and she also has a hematoma on her ear and will have to have a surgery to drain it!! poor thing), I got a call from one of my sisters about a bunch of family "drama" which got me all worked up. I just had to keep reminding myself that there are people with problems much worse than mine and I just need to get over it! Tomorrow has GOT to be a better day.

  1. What a deelish looking potato! And bravo to you for trying to rise above all the drama. It's easy to let life get us down somedays, but I do the same as you, and always remind myself there are people who have really serious things going on in their lives. Case in point -- visit www.mycharmingkids.net.

  2. Always been breakfast, lunch, dinner in our house! After a few weeks of our daughter living with us, again, we were tired of the drama. We made a new rule...No Drama Allowed! She didn't stop talking, but I felt ok just walking away.
